I am a photographer from the small town of Waterman, Illinois. I currently study both digital and film photography at Waubonsee Community College.
When I photograph, I try to capture real emotion. I believe photography is an artform just like painting, sculpture, or music, there is more to it than pressing a button on a camera. You have to be able to freeze a moment.
I look for the genuine moments that reflect how a person is feeling, or what they are thinking, and when you put enough of the “moments” together they tell a story.
I had 3 out of 5 submitted photos selected for “Aw, Snap!”, a juried exhibition of photographs by Waubonsee Community College students that was held in the Downtown Aurora Campus from April 21-July 10, 2017
